"I wanted to send you a formal thank you for the grant you gave me last winter that allowed me to attend the Colonial Williamsburg Teacher Institute this summer. I have been teaching Virginia history for over 20 years now. Each year I strive to learn as much as I can about Virginia and/or American history in order to not only fulfill my need to learn more in an area I absolutely love but to also find more ways to help enhance my teaching. I must say that this was one of the best ways I have learned how to engage my students in my history lessons. Thank you, thank you for allowing me to attend this wonderful teacher institute!"
