Advanced Training Grant Winners!

FCEF Advanced Training Grants provides advanced training/conference attendance for teachers in the following areas: IB, MYP, PYP, Special Populations, and Technical Integration.  FCEF Advanced Training Grants are coordinated with FCCPS' professional development funds.  
In the 2018-19 School Year
  • Teacher of the Year Award - $1500 - applications due each January 
  • Advanced Teacher Training - $40,000+ in training opportunities for FCCPS staff - applications due each June; see 2019 grants HERE
  • Nancy & Steve Sprague Teacher Leadership Fund - professional development services, staff t-shirts, Google Applications for Education summit
  • Beginning Teacher Induction -  from Apple Federal Credit Union – stipend for UVA Curry Fellow, teacher welcome luncheon, Workshop Wednesdays stipends for experienced teachers presenting to new teachers
  • ​Teacher Appreciation Week  - support staff appreciation at all schools
  • Annual CIRT (Curriculum, Instructional, Resource Trainers) professional development and luncheon​

​In the 2016-17 School Year
  • Teacher of the Year Award - $1500 - awarded to 4th grade teacher Lisa Allan
  • Advanced Teacher Training - $35,000 in training opportunities for FCCPS staff
  • Nancy & Steve Sprague Teacher Leadership Fund - $17,354 – professional development services, staff t-shirts, Google Applications for Education summit
  • Beginning Teacher Induction - $11,500 – from Apple Federal Credit Union – stipend for UVA Curry Fellow, teacher welcome luncheon, Workshop Wednesdays stipends for experienced teachers presenting to new teachers
  • ​Teacher Appreciation Week  - $750 - support staff appreciation at all schools
  • Google Applications for Education Summit for 25 teachers
  • Annual CIRT ( Curriculum, Instructional, Resource Trainers) professional development and luncheon​

In the 2015-16 School Year
  • Lou Olom Advanced Studies - $6087 – professional service costs, travel & training for IB teacher training​
  • Nancy Sprague Teacher Fund - $17,354 – professional development services, staff t-shirts, Google Applications for Education summit
  • Beginning Teacher Induction - $11,500 – from Apple Federal Credit Union – stipend for UVA Curry Fellow, teacher welcome luncheon, Workshop Wednesdays stipends for experienced teachers presenting to new teachers
  • Teacher Training - $24,000+ - funding for 15 staff members’ training, including ESOL, IB, MYP, social workers, math, computer science, writing
  • ​Teacher Appreciation Week  - $500 - support staff appreciation at all schools
  • Google Applications for Education Summit for 25 teachers
  • Annual CIRT ( Curriculum, Instructional, Resource Trainers) professional development and luncheon​
