The Run for the Schools is a certified 5K race course through the tree-lined streets of Falls Church City.

It features: a chip timing system, 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk route, post-race awards ceremony to include cash and equipment prizes for runners in seven age categories. Runners can compete as individuals or teams.

Supporting our Schools...

The Falls Church Education Foundation serves as a catalyst for community
support for the Falls Church Public Schools, a priceless asset of our city.

The non-profit foundation, established in 2003, provides all friends of our schools with a means to contribute to the system's educational excellence and support the continuing education of its graduates. Contributions for these activities support current as well as future educational programming in our schools.

Since its inception, the FCEF has distributed more than $400,000 in community donations to students, teachers and GMHS graduates. At a time of increasing pressure on school budgets and expanding challenges confronting educators, students and their families, the foundation provides an opportunity to invest in our future.

Scholarship and Award Winners

The 56th Annual Awards Assembly at George Mason High School was held on June 2nd and the following students received scholarships and prizes in recognition of their special accomplishments. Scholarships and prizes listed below are stewarded by the Falls Church Education Foundation--they were established by friends and family members to pay tribute to loved ones and educational leaders.

Since its inception in 2004, FCEF has funded a variety of programs that support educational excellence, benefitting students from the primary years through high school. These programs add depth and dimension to our students' educational experience.
