The FCCPS and FCEF prize awarders were out and about in our schools to deliver the surprise nominations for FCEF Teacher of the Year. It was a great day that was met with cheers and applause from excited students and staff. The winner of the FCEF Teacher of the Year will be awarded in May at the FCCPS Celebration of Excellence. The Falls Church Education Foundation is pleased to support the Falls Church City Public Schools' Teacher of the Year Award. All nominees receive two courtesy tickets to the FCEF Gala & Auction, courtesy of the Steve & Nancy Sprague Teacher Leadership Fund, and the overall winner receives a prize of $1500, funded by the Foundation.

The 2018 FCEF Teacher of the Year was Farrell Kelly, 7th Grade History Teacher.
The 2017 FCEF Teacher of the Year was Lisa Allan, Thomas Jefferson 4th Grade Teacher.
