FCEF Teacher of the Year Award

The Falls Church Education Foundation is pleased to again support the Falls Church City Public Schools' Teacher of the Year Award.  All nominees receive two courtesy tickets to the FCEF Gala & Auction, courtesy of the Steve & Nancy Sprague Teacher Leadership Fund, and the overall winner receives a prize of $1500, funded by the Foundation.

The 2019 FCEF Teacher of the Year was Marc Robarge, GMHS art teacher.  The 2018 Teacher of the Year was Mr. Farrell Kelly, 7th grade history teacher.  The 2017 FCEF Teacher of the Year was Ms. Lisa Allan, Thomas Jefferson 4th grade teacher. 

There were 10 nominees for the FCEF 2020 Teacher of the Year:

  • Jeff Buck, Seventh Grade Civics & Economics Teacher, Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School
  • Tammy Chincheck, Social Studies Teacher, George Mason High School

  • Peter Laub, English Teacher, George Mason High School
