Annual Gala & Auction on May 1Let your style blossom! The FCEF Annual Gala & Auction is coming up on May 1 at Washington Golf & Country Club. In keeping with this year’s theme, we’re inviting guests to celebrate spring with floral prints, vibrant colors, and garden-inspired looks. The gala sells out almost every year, so be sure to grab your tickets early.

Summer Spark SurpriseCongratulations to Meridian teacher Pam Mahony, winner of the 2026 FCEF Summer Spark Grant! This $5,000 annual award is given to a teacher who is interested in summer excursions that offer fresh perspectives and insights. This summer, Pam will visit Amsterdam, The Hague, Brussels, and Geneva to tour institutions that promote human rights and foster sustainable peace.

Congrats to Employee Award NomineesEleven FCCPS employees have been nominated for the 2026 FCEF Employee Awards! These employees were nominated by community members and colleagues for their outstanding work on behalf of students. Winners will be announced in late April.

Help Provide Food for Falls Church FamiliesThere are many ways you can support families in our community this winter. Donate money to the FCEF Family Assistance Fund, or give food or funds to a local food pantry: Falls Church Community Service Council or Food for Others. You can also volunteer with your friends, church, or neighborhood to adopt a family, or purchase a Better Together T-shirt or sweatshirt to raise funds for the effort.
