The Falls Church Education Foundation is honored to steward designated funds per donor request. These funds support our students, staff and community while remembering those who were integral to the vibrancy of Falls Church. Your contributions allow FCEF to support the memories of these amazing individuals.
Jeffrey Bandy Memorial Music Program - Jeffrey Bandy, a Falls Church City Public Schools PK-12 student, loved music and enjoyed the music therapy program funded through the Falls Church Education Foundation. After his passing, the family opted to share his love for music with students for years to come through the funding of this memorial program.
Benton Diversity Fund - Promote affirmation and respect among FCCPS students, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, disability, height, weight, introversion or distinguishing factors. This fund shall be used for special educational and counseling programs and activities in support of this objective, as well as to support the programs and activities of formal or informal student groups and associations that strive to further this objective as may pertain to one or more of the distinguishing factors.
Diabetes (Type 1) Support Fund - Fund to be used for expenses associated with the care and treatment of students enrolled in FCCPS who are diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Training of school staff, furnishings at school clinics to create a welcoming atmosphere, supplies for families who cannot afford treatment for their student, supplemental support of FCCPS Food Service Department to accurately capture critical caloric and content information on school lunch menus.
FCEF Family Assistance Fund - Provide support for our neediest families in FCCPS. Funding is managed by the FCCPS social workers in each school and assists more than 300 students and their families with food, clothing, school supplies, holiday gifts and emergency needs. Annual goal of this fund is $35,000.
Debbie Hiscott “Tech for Good” Fund - In appreciation of former FCEF Executive Director, Debbie Hiscott. Fund to be used on grants/initiatives that include tech for wellness initiatives, sustainability initiatives, or opportunities for growth and innovation in the classroom.
Nancy & Steve Sprague Teacher Leadership – In memory of Nancy Sprague, dedicated teacher and superintendent and her husband, Steve Sprague, FCEF board member and community activist. The fund supports costs of services and programs associated with professional development and support of FCCPS teachers. Examples include annual CIRT training, Google Apps for Education training.
Stableford Science Fund - Fund to be used primarily on grants and initiatives focused on the sciences.
