Spring is in the air, and that means it’s almost time for the FCEF Annual Gala & Auction on May 1, 2026, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Washington Golf & Country Club! This year’s theme, "A Night in Bloom," promises floral flair during a fun night out in support of our schools. Join friends from across the community for an evening of celebration, bidding on auction items, and helping fund innovative programs for FCCPS students and teachers. It sells out almost every year, so be sure to grab your tickets early!

2025 FCEF Annual Gala & Auction
The Falls Church Education Foundation’s 2025 Gala & Auction was nothing short of spectacular! Thanks to our incredible sponsors, donors, student volunteers, and all 400+ attendees who joined us, Washington Golf & Country Club buzzed with energy from the first note to the last. The 27-piece Meridian High School Jazz Ensemble, led by Mary Jo West, absolutely ignited the room with their electrifying blues, rock, funk, and swing set.
Your generosity shone through every smile in these Gala photos, capturing the joy of supporting Falls Church Education Foundation’s impactful grants and programs. Event Details
Tickets - no paper tickets necessary for entry. Just check in with our friendly student volunteers as you enter the club—entertainment, food and drinks begin promptly at 6:30 pm! The price of your tickets covers the cost of the event, so please consider vying for auction items or making a donation to FCEF during the evening.
Attire - With our theme, the range of dress is broad. Men, feel free to come dressed in anything from a collared shirt and tie to a tuxedo. For women, anything from cocktail dress to full length gown will work. Only rule … no jeans!
Venue & Parking - Washington Golf & Country Club is located at 3017 N. Glebe Road in Arlington. Complimentary valet parking is at the front door and the lot across the street (by the tennis courts) for your convenience. Or better yet … plan for Uber, Lyft or taxi! We want ALL to be safe on the roads.
Event Schedule - Bars open and music starts promptly at 6:30 pm—don’t miss a minute! The party continues through "last call" at 10:30.
Drinks - Wine, beer and rail drinks will be available and are included in your price of admission. Please note the bars will be closed during the live auction (another reason to be there right at 6:30).
Food - There will be a variety of hors d'oeuvres passed at the beginning of the evening and buffet near the ballroom before the live auction. There will not be a formal seated dinner at the gala—you may eat when you'd like and sit where you'd like. We have options for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diners.
Silent/Live Auction - Auction items may be bid on from your phone/tablet/computer at any time before or during the event and the week leading up to it. A complete listing will be online and on your phone as soon as you register your cell phone.
Purchases - All purchases, including auction items and donations, will be paid for using your bidder number, which is linked to your credit card.
Live Music & Casino Games - Meridian Jazz Band, a deejay, as well as loads of casino games and a photo booth will be in the ballroom area for you to enjoy.
