GRATITUDE FOR 2017 TODD HITT FUND FOR THE ARTS AND 2017 FCEF SUPER GRANTS:

"I wanted to say thank you for the work that you do for the Foundation. I was truly honored to be one of the selected recipients to receive the super grant. The foundation makes it possible for Falls Church City Public Schools to maintain a competitive edge. Thank you and the foundation for making it possible!"

- Richard Kane, FCCPS Foodservice Director

"Thank you all for your tremendous support of the visual and performing arts, this kind of support provides significant learning opportunities for our students, and sends a clear message that the arts are a valued and vital component of a balanced education. I also note that balance is one of the IB Learner profile characteristics, and it came up recently at one of our professional development workshops!  Thanks so much!"
-   Marc Robarge, GMHS Visual Arts

"Thank you very much. The support for teachers in Falls Church is amazing and it really helps us bring authentic learning experiences to the students. We really could not do it without your support. You really do a lot for us, and we appreciate it!"
- Steve Erick, MEH CTE

"Thank to all for helping us provide meaningful learning opportunities for our students."
- Peter M. Mecca, Ph.D., Science Teacher, Environmental Club Sponsor, 2015 VA SWCD Conservation Education Teacher of the Year, Certified VA Master Naturalist

"Thank you for the terrific news!  We haven't been able to buy new instruments and percussion for many many years.  The grant for MEH and GMHS students for Leadership will be an amazing contribution to the in band.  As K - 12 CTL, the grant for ENCORE and VPA will mean the visual arts teachers can get a ceramics teacher in as well as getting interdisciplinary workshops. What a beautiful day for the ENCORE AND VPA!!!"
- Mary Jo West, GMHS Band

"Thank you all, once again!  I cannot tell you how grateful and thrilled I am to be honored as one of this year's grant recipients."
- Christina Leigh , MEHMS Art

"Katie [Johnson] and I are thrilled to be grant winners!  It’s a great way to start the weekend!  :-)"
- Mark Coffren, MEHMS PE

"Thank you for our wonderful gift of bringing Wolf Trap and the arts to Mount Daniel."
- Jeremy Ferrara, Assistant Principal, Mt. Daniel ES

"Just wanted to say thank you for everything that FCEF does for our kids. Every one of these grants will have an immediate, direct impact in our classrooms and that is amazing!"
- Rob Carey, Assistant Principal, Thomas Jefferson ES, on behalf of TJES staff

"It's that time of year again! Our amazing Falls Church Education Foundation has been so generous to our Tigers. We are so happy to announce that they have provided our Tigers with a chance to experience Music Therapy with Mrs. Rahman, PYP E-Readers with Ms. Davis, Hot Air Balloons with Mrs. Adetoro, and Ceramics with Ms. Wicklund. We cant wait to get started!"
- Paul Swanson, Principal, Thomas Jefferson ES
